Volunteers Needed to Assist with Drop-Off Day
Every year, our city and residents deal with illegal dumping of mattresses, furniture, trash bags, clothing, debris and electronics. These waste items can be breeding grounds for mosquitoes, disrupt wildlife habitats, and pose fire risks. In addition, chemicals can leach into the soil and into ground water. Help us keep our city clean.
The annual Drop-Off Day helps deter illegal dumping and encourages residents to dispose of items correctly and legally.
Help greet neighbors, unload vehicles, and make decisions about what can be recycled and what needs to go into the trash. Follow this link to sign-up.
Date: Saturday, September 14
Location: Harding High School parking lot

The District 1 Community Council is your connection to city and county officials. We can guide you to local government resources and keep you informed of issues that arise in our neighborhoods.
In collaboration with community members in our district, we address issues surrounding zoning and development, the environment, parks and recreation, transportation, safety and other matters that are brought forward. However, we are also here to help you build relationships with your neighbors and create the kind of community you would like to see in our neighborhoods.
